Micaela Lindsey-Carpenter, 32, from Perry South, Pennsylvania was sitting in her living room at 2:35 A.M. on Tuesday, when she heard a sudden bang at her front door. She looked out the window and saw five masked men trying to kick down her door.
The Post-Gazette reported that Carpenter called the cops and then took out her AK-47 style rifle and shot at the five men through the window and into the front door.
Carpenter’s gun jammed but she managed to scare off the intruders. She moved into the kitchen to try and clear her jam and cut herself. When police arrived they saw the blood from Carpenter’s cut as well as the bullet holes but they found one other thing, drugs sitting in plain sight.
The police did a clean sweep of the house and found crack cocaine, powder cocaine, various unidentified pills, and marijuana. Her eight-year-old daughter and a male companion were both sleeping upstairs.
Carpenter admitted that the drugs were hers and that she ran a drug operation from inside the house. She was placed under arrest on drug charges and endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment of another person.
She was booked into the Allegheny County Jail and released on a $25,000 bond.
