New York Handyman Shoots Would-Be Robber

A handyman in Rochester, New York was doing repairs on a home on late Friday night when a man with a gun approached him and demanded he fork over his money.

The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle reported that the gunman walked up to the repairman at 10:15 p.m. making his threats. The repairman responded by pulling out his legally owned firearm and exchanged fire with the would-be robber.

The handyman shot his attacker once in the lower body, causing him to flee. He later checked into the Rochester General Hospital.

According to police, the handyman was not injured.
