Right before 2 AM on Thursday, as many as eight masked men stormed into a home of a wealthy jewelry business owner on Broadleaf Avenue in Panorama City, California.
Members of the family living there were pinned to the walls and floor and at least one was pistol-whipped and another was tased, reported The Los Angeles Daily News.
That’s when one of the family members pulled out a handgun and started shooting at the masked men, possibly injuring one or more of them. The masked men were able to grab two small vaults containing jewelry.
The Los Angeles Police Department said the perpetrators remain at large.
