On the early evening of October 4, 25-year old Pleasure C. Singleton Jr. and his girlfriend were in the middle of a domestic dispute when he stabbed her multiple times. Had it not been for the efforts to two good samaritans, she’d be dead.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Singleton was in an argument with a woman when he stabbed her multiple times. A pair of male witnesses saw the event and took action.
While one aided the woman the other shot Singleton in the chest, killing him almost instantly.
The woman is in serious condition at Mount Sinai Hospital. Both of the men who saved her life have been released by police and will not face any charges.
