South Side of Chicago: Armed Homeowner Fights Back Against Crime

The South Side of Chicago has been plagued with an astronomically high level of crime for decades, but on Saturday night one homeowner decided to fight back.

In the South Side’s Bronzeville neighborhood, a 60-year old homeowner with a concealed carry license shot a man who broke into his residence, reported The Chicago Sun-Times.

The 44-year old home invader used a crowbar to force his way into the home. Once inside the homeowner shot several rounds, hitting the man in the body. Amazingly the criminal was able to get out of the house, jump in his vehicle, and drive himself to Mercy Hospital.

According to the police report, the man is in critical condition.
