An off-duty police officer in St. Louis, Missouri interrupted a burglary in his apartment and took matters into his own hands by immediately using his gun to try and stop the thief.
According to law enforcement officials, St. Louis Today reported, Sallie Bradford broke into an off-duty cop’s apartment while the officer had gone back out to his vehicle.
When the officer returned, he found Bradford in his apartment with his cop belt, which had his police gun attached to it. That’s when Bradford allegedly shot at the officer, prompting the officer to use his personal gun to fire back at the suspect.
Though neither men were hit, Bradford allegedly took police on a chase by fleeing the apartment and later crashing his car. Now, Bradford is facing first-degree assault of a police officer, armed criminal action, burglary, stealing and resisting arrest.
